His Dark Materials (Framestore)
We created this Lemur in Framestore IA for the second season of the HBO series His Dark Materials. After reading the books when I was younger it was really awesome to work on a Daemon!
I was responsible for the texture, lookdev, blendshapes, groom probability maps painting in Houdini and facial rig setup as well as a final asymmetry and sculpt pass. Before moving onto shot lighting.
Below is a lookdev test I setup of the Lemur in a Madagascar-like environment to test the animation and fur clumping as well as the lookdev.
